IT Security Manager - FinTech / InsurTech

Oliver Bernard are currently seeking an IT Security Manager to join a well-established InsurTech client of ours based in London. This hire is part of a period of transformation across the business, and the incoming Manager will be responsible for owning their Security function - implementing Security best practices across the broader tech team, whilst line managing a team of 2-3 engineers.

The team are looking for a seasoned Security Manager with strong tenure in an environment translatable to their own, so experience in a regulated environment for clients in financial services, or an insurance provider, is necessary to be considered for this opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years Security experience at Management level, and their experience should encompass the following criteria:

• Strong Security background, ideally within an Azure Cloud driven environment
• Able to design and maintain Security policies, procedures and best practices
• Capable working closely with SOC and MSSP
• Hands-on experience across incident management, alerting, vulnerability scanning, pen testing, disaster recovery etc
• Previous experience navigating through Security audits
• Has previously line managed a team of engineers, and is capable of upskilling and coaching on Security practices
• This role sits closely with their DevOps team, so knowledge of DevSecOps, Cloud, IaC etc, is a massive bonus

This opening can offer £80-100K and operates a hybrid working model, with office visits required 3 days p/week.
