Chief Software Engineer

Chief Engineer - Java, AWS, High-Throughput, Low-Latency

OB's long standing client within the financial services industry, offering their services globally are looking for a Chief Engineer, who will report directly into the CTO, and play a key role in ensuring their technology is high-performing, scalable and highly secure.

Collaborating with a colleagues across the globe, from senior Leadership, Software Engineers and Product Managers, you'll set a vision for the system architecture and spearhead the progress of the development roadmap. You will also need to be a competent coder, who can be hands-on when needed, on their Core Java based systems.

Key skills and experience:

• Demonstrated experience in a Senior Tech Leadership Role (Lead Architect, Senior Principal Engineer etc)
• Strong track record of building Core Java based, high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Cloud native solutions in AWS
• Strong interpersonal skills

This role is a hybrid role with 1-2 days a week required in London or Manchester based offices and can pay between £120k-£140k depending on skills and experience. To be considered, you must be UK based and sponsorship isn't available.
