This meetup is part of the "Careers with Python" series that aims to guide you through the various career paths and opportunities available to you as a Python developer. This is a joint effort together with the PyLadies Amsterdam group.

Talks Level: Beginner

Talk 1 - Recruitment and Interview Tips for Python Developers I'll be providing recruitment insights into the Python market from a general overview, popular technologies and interview tips.

Speaker: Rory Stahelin Founder of Python In London meetup group and Principal Consultant working at Oliver Bernard running the Python/Data desk.

Talk 2 - Let's talk about data engineering In this talk we will discuss what is exactly data engineering and its applications, and the role Python plays in it.

Speaker: Carolina Londoño A data engineer at Felyx with a passion for all sorts of databases, cloud and infra. Active and believer in tech communities and also a cat lover.

Talk 3 - Python and Educational Sciences During the talk you will get an overview of the types of projects that are common to educational science, in which Python, and more generally, Data Science with Python plays a role. You will also get some concrete examples on how Python is being used in ongoing research projects and the role it is increasingly playing in education.

Speaker: Giel van Lankveld I'm an assistant professor at the Open University of the Netherlands, at the faculty of Educational Sciences in the Technology Enhanced Learning and Innovation (TELI) group. I work on educational games, learning analytics, and research methodology.
