Synopsis
A healthy software is expected to last 5 to 7 years, without needing a major re-write. Yet in most of the companies I worked for, there came a day we had to stop what we’re doing and re-design the app, from scratch. Why? How do we develop maintainable apps to last?
Talk starts with a high-level approach to developing maintainable apps and goes into basics of tools and principles at our disposal to develop apps to last: Architectural design, Android components, clean architecture for modular design, SOLID principles and dependency inversion.
