Summary
Sorry for the delay in announcing this event but I've been having issues creating the page since Thursday and have just head back from support now. Turns out you can't have a colon in the event Title on meetup!
Anyway... I am very happy to confirm that the first remote edition of JavaScript in London will be this Thursday 2nd April 2020 at 6pm (BST), via Zoom.
The event will last approximately 45-minutes and will consist of a 5-minute intro from myself, a talk from our guest speaker James Garner and will finish with a Q&A session. Please see further details on the content below:
Speaker – James Garner
Topic – JavaScript: The ultimate company builder?
Please note that there is a 100 person limit for the live event but we will be recording the session and it will be sent to everyone in the group afterwards for retrospective viewing.
We're excited to help keep the community connected whilst we're all in lock down and will look to increase the number of people able to view the next events, if the demand requires it.
Speakers
James Garner
James is a deep tech founder and he cares about ubiquitous computing, hyper-personalisation, semantics and building the future. From 2007–2011 thousands of teenagers learnt to code with his software, DS Game Maker. After working for PlayStation R&D and Beamery, he then joined Entrepreneur First's 10th cohort, kicking off his formal career in entrepreneurship.
JavaScript: The ultimate company builder?
The world's most successful startups invest in JavaScript. Why and how does it make them successful? Let me show you how to start a company with nothing more than - you guessed it - JavaScript.
We always expect high demand for our events, so if interested, please signup ASAP via the Meetup page. For all other queries please email events@oliverbernard.com.
Look forward to seeing some of you there on Thursday 2nd April at 19:00.
